Fully equipped with machines, cars... and NorrlandsNavet
At the Load up North fair in Boden last weekend, representatives from NorrlandsNavet met companies and exhibitors through their stand and various inspiration seminars. The goal of participating in the fair was to provide small and medium-sized companies with knowledge and ideas about how they can develop their business and strengthen their competitiveness by collaborating with the university.
- We are a meeting place for the construction industry in Norrland with a focus on construction machinery, transport and recruitment. We address everyone who operates in the mining industry above ground, road and construction as well as land and forest. Load Up North is the only fair of its kind north of Stockholm, said Johanna Brändström, project manager at Nolia AB.
NorrlandsNavet is a center at Luleå University of Technology that focuses on supporting business development for companies that wish to expand and drive their business forward through student collaboration, skills development for professionals, research collaboration and knowledge dissemination.
Knowledge-supporting workshops and two different knowledge seminars were held at the stand. The Knowledge Development for Professionals seminar, where Collaboration Strategist Anna-Lena Arvidsson was an inspiring speaker, was also broadcast digitally. The following day, Professor Patrik Söderholm gave a lecture on the very current subject of Permit Processes.
The university's stand was one of the most well-attended indoor stands, and it was there that many fruitful talks and discussions took place.
- I am very satisfied with the result and glad that we decided to participate because it has exceeded my expectations, said Hanna Blomster, communications manager at NorrlandsNavet.
NorrlandsNavet is tasked with meeting the companies around the region and Load up North has really made it possible to meet this industry and its companies, Hanna continued.
Participants met representatives from all NorrlandsNavest areas.
