Big welcome meeting for WISE
Over three days, over 200 project managers, PhDs and postdocs and other researchers gathered at Kolmården outside Norrköping to network and learn about WISE's status and goals.
Among other things, the participants could listen to presentations from representatives from industry and academia. There was also a poster session where three representatives from Luleå University of Technology presented their new WISE projects, these were Saeed Chehreh Chelgani, Kristiina Oksman and Farid Akhtar. The poster session provided ample opportunity for further networking and discussion.
The event was an excellent opportunity for the new WISE project leaders, PhDs and postdocs to meet other researchers and get an introduction to WISE's goals and status.

Since the investment started at the end of 2022, Luleå University of Technology has been awarded three doctoral and postdoctoral projects as well as two industrial projects. We have also hired two new visiting professors, Alexander Bismarck and Christina Scheffler, who were also at the meeting.
At Luleå University of Technology, we have also started the WISE Materials Academy, a network that brings together researchers in materials science and aims to engage even more university researchers in WISE activities. The network meets online once a month and discusses current events, new announcements and opportunities for collaboration. Are you curious about joining?
