“I thrive in organizations where there is a lot going on”
Caroline Rönnberg has been a Communications Officer at the university since May 2023 and works at the Communications Office with all that entails.
Name: Caroline Rönnberg
Job: Communications Officer
Comes from: Luleå
Lives: in Boden
I like it here: On Örngårdsberget in Boden, nice view for outdoor dinners.
Caroline was born and raised in Luleå but has been living in Boden with her partner for a few years now. She has a degree in Media and Communication Science, Strategic Communication, from Umeå University. For the past eight years, she has worked as a Communications Officer at Luleå Municipality.
In her spare time, she enjoys being out in nature, such as mountain hiking, but also traveling. Caroline is also a fan of good food, both in restaurants and outdoor dinners, as in taking dinner out on a hike.
What attracted her to Luleå University of Technology was that she thrives in public sector organizations and the opportunity to contribute to the benefit of society. Her first impression was that it is a very active and ambitious workplace, something she finds fun.
Caroline thinks that the organization feels driving and forward-looking but still humble with the mentality "we are not always the best at everything, but will work to become so". Caroline thinks the biggest challenge will be to prioritize what is most important.
"I think it's fun to work in organizations in the public sector and in organizations where a lot is happening, and it feels like a lot is happening here and that the organization wants to develop."
Caroline works with the Academic Ceremony and the filmed interviews of newly appointed professors that are shown during the ceremony, as well as with communication activities in general, such as communicating various events, projects, etc.
"I help out wherever I am needed."
