Luleå University of Technology and Carl Bennet sign AI initiative
Luleå University of Technology and industrialist Carl Bennet sign a letter of intent regarding a five-year initiative within a joint AI project. Carl Bennet AB intends to invest a total of SEK 5 million – SEK 1 million per year for five years – in the project. For Luleå University of Technology, the focus of this project is research on AI-supported pedagogy, with the purpose to generate knowledge about how to use new technology, AI for innovative education.
“This is an amazing opportunity for us to further strengthen our research and education within AI, this time with focus on groundbreaking education. AI-supported pedagogy will play a decisive role in ensuring individualised learning and raising the quality of our courses and study programmes. We are very happy about this initiative and the collaboration with Carl Bennet”, says Birgitta Bergvall-Kåreborn, Vice-Chancellor of Luleå University of Technology.
Birgitta Bergvall-Kåreborn and Carl Bennet, representatives of the two parties, signed the letter of intent on-site at Luleå University of Technology on Thursday 5 September 2024.
“We are very much looking forward to this initiative together with Luleå University of Technology. By contributing to research and development, we want to be part of paving the way for the knowledge of the future. This means a lot to us”, says Carl Bennet.
The parties behind the signing, Luleå University of Technology and Carl Bennet AB, mean to replace the letter of intent, which now enters into force, by a project agreement as soon as such an agreement has been drawn up.
