Cyber Security Month

During October, Cyber Security Month is organised in Sweden and Europe to raise awareness and knowledge about information and cyber security and risks, and to strengthen the ability to defend against crime.

– Cyber Security Month is a great opportunity to raise awareness and what each individual can do to contribute to a good information security culture at Luleå University of Technology. All staff and students need to be aware of the risks associated with the digital technologies that we rely on in our daily activities. In the event of a cyber attack, an individual can be the one to protect our organisation by being alert and acting quickly, says Birgitta Bergvall-Kåreborn, Vice-Chancellor.

Luleå University of Technology, Umeå University and Mid Sweden University are running a joint campaign during this year's Cyber Security Month, with short news once a week throughout October with tips on how to become more cyber secure.
