Successful PRECISE day
Researchers, experts and stakeholders gathered in the LKAB auditorium to participate in the PRECISE day, which focused on how we can together promote good precision health to create value in a sustainable societal transition. The day was filled with inspiring presentations, engaging workshops and insightful discussions on how health can be a central component of the future society.
One of the highlights was Mats Tyrstrup from the Stockholm School of Economics, who presented how mission-oriented innovation can be an effective way to tackle complex societal problems. His talk generated a lot of interest and highlighted the importance of cross-sectoral collaboration to create real change.
Another appreciated element was when Anna-Karin Lindqvist inspired with her experiences from the active school transportation project and showed how local efforts can have a big impact. The lunch was followed by short presentations of PhD projects linked to PRECISE's Healthy Spaces area of excellence. The participants got an insight into the different approaches of the research projects and the expected societal impacts.

PhD student Katelyn Murphy presents her research.

PhD student Jessica Rhodin presents her research.
The afternoon was devoted to workshops where participants were divided according to the three areas of excellence: Healthy Spaces, Precise Digital Healthcare and Early Detection of Health Risk Factors. Discussions centered on which societal challenges are most relevant, what resources and tools are needed to work effectively with mission-oriented innovation, and how collaboration between researchers and external partners can be strengthened. Participants also reflected on how best to measure and evaluate impact in their projects.
The PRECISE day demonstrated that precision health is not just a research area but a necessary component of a successful societal transition. By bringing together researchers and practitioners from different disciplines, universities took another step towards achieving a sustainable and healthy future.
