Deputy vice-chancellor Charlotte Wiberg returns to professor position at Umeå University
Deputy vice-chancellor and Professor Charlotte Wiberg chooses to return to her former professorship in Informatics at Umeå University and thus leaves the Vice-Chancellor position at Luleå University of Technology. The decision is made for private reasons.
"It has been a great honor and an inspiring time to be part of the management at Luleå University of Technology. I look forward to a continued close collaboration with LTU in my research and am grateful for the support and cooperation that I have experienced from both colleagues and students during my time here," says Charlotte Wiberg.
Vice-Chancellor Birgitta Bergvall Kåreborn extends a warm thank you to Charlotte Wiberg for her commitment to the work as Deputy vice-chancellor:

During her time as Deputy vice-chancellor for Research and Collaboration at Luleå University of Technology, Charlotte Wiberg has handled university-wide issues and assignments as:
- Chairman of the Vice-Chancellor's Research Council
- Chair of the Vice-Chancellor's Collaboration Council
Professor Charlotte Wiberg has previously been Pro vice-chancellor and Acting vice-chancellor at Chalmers University of Technology.
Discussions regarding the recruitment of a new vice-chancellor will be held within the management team and further information about this will be published on our employee website.
Charlotte Wiberg will start at Umeå University on March 1.
