Anna Näppä – Cicerone of the Year
The award Cicerone of the Year (Årets ciceron) in the hospitality industry 2024, a scholarship of SEK 100,000, has been awarded to Anna Näppä at Luleå University of Technology for the doctoral thesis “Building employer brands: The employee perspective”.
From the jury's motivation:
"Human Capital is a key issue for the future of the hospitality industry and good employership will be extremely important for recruitment to the industry. Anna Näppä’s research and thesis are right on time by highlighting how employer brands are built and perceived by employees in the hospitality industry.
“I am incredibly happy, it is undeniably a great honour to receive this fine award as a researcher and that what I have researched is highlighted as important by both employees and employers in the hospitality industry,” says Anna Näppä.
Anna has studied how employer brands and employer branding in the hospitality industry are perceived and built by employees. The focus has been the employee perspective.
The Cicerone of the Year award in the hospitality industry has been established by BFUF (R&D Fund of the Swedish Tourism & Hospitality Industry) and the Foundation for Knowledge Promotion in Tourism (Stiftelsen för kunskapsfrämjande inom turism).
