Engineering students heading to South Korea with scholarship support
Erik Tronde, Rebecka Ringström and Nelly Cedergren are this year's recipients of a scholarship from the Rune Andersson Jubilee Foundation at Luleå University of Technology. They are awarded SEK 60,000 each for study abroad in South Korea during the coming year.
The scholarship is awarded annually to student affairs graduates who wish to study in a rapidly developing country, mainly in Asia, Africa or South America. This year's three scholarship recipients have all chosen to study in South Korea - a country that has been a recurring choice among applicants in previous years.
- Erik Tronde, Master of Science in Engineering Physics and Electrical Engineering - Seoul
- Rebecka Ringström, MSc Industrial Engineering and Management - Busan
- Nelly Cedergren, Master of Science in Architecture - Seoul
The Foundation gives priority to applicants from countries in the so-called BRICS+ area and emphasizes very good study results and a documented interest in innovation and entrepreneurship. The scholarship can cover tuition fees, increased living expenses, travel and study trips.
The scholarship is part of the Foundation's aim to promote international exchange and give student affairs the opportunity to develop in a global context.
