Yukigassen 2026: Watch the Rectors' Team compete for the title

On Friday 27 February, it's time for one of the most exciting events of the year, Yukigassen 2026. This year, our own team of rectors, consisting of the vice-chancellor, heads of department, university director and vice-dean, will once again be taking part. They will step into the snow arena on saturday to compete for the honor.

With tactical thinking, leadership experience and hopefully good accuracy in their throws, the team aims to show how strategic work works as well on the snow arena as in the business plan.

The management team will play on Saturday, approx. 10:00 - 14:00 (exact game schedule to come).

• Group stage: Friday 17:00 - 20:00, Saturday 10:00 - 14:00
• Playoffs with final: 14:00 - 15:30
• Prize ceremony: 15:45

Yukigassen is a snowball tournament that crowns the Swedish snowball fighting champions, a very prestigious title. The snowball fight competition originated in Japan. The tournament in Luleå is organized by the Mechanical Engineering Section's Activities Committee (MAkt).
