University orienteering stage 1 2025, September 1, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Ormberget
The first stage of the University orienteering will be held at Ormberget on 1 September and will be organised by Department of Engineering Sciences and Mathematics.

Start time: Free start time between 16.00-18.00.
Meeting point: Where Ormberget's dog trail/walking trail begins.
Parking: The parking lot directly to the left at the entrance to Ormberget from Bensbyvägen. Screen at the entrance.

Courses
Short course 1.9 km: Outdoor recreation area with many trails of varying sizes, ranging from wide electric light trails to small forest trails. The course has a steep slope at the beginning, then flat terrain with a couple of short deviations from the trail. Good visibility.
Middle course 3.2 km: Varied forest terrain with a large element of trails in a well-visited outdoor recreation area. Moderate hilliness and good visibility. The course has many controls both on slopes and in easier terrain.
Long course 5.2 km: Varied forest terrain with a large element of paths. Control points in "racing terrain" increase the speed, but it may be wise to slow down in some denser sections and keep an eye on the many changes of direction.

Please note! Empty land is olive green on the map and is ALWAYS forbidden to enter.
Note!! Maximum allowed time 2 hours. Competitors who break must report at the finish line, so that the organizers know who is left in the forest. We also remind you that participation in the LTU orientation is at your own risk and that the organizers disclaim all responsibility for damage that may occur.
