Stage 2 2025, September 8, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Porsön
The second stage of the University orienteering will be held at Porsön on September 8th and is organised by the Department of Computer Science, Space- and Electrical Engineering (SRT), LTU.

Starting time: Free starting time between 4 to 6 pm
Meeting point: Wibergsgården (länk till karta)
Parking: Parking space is available directly to the south and west of Wibergsgården.

Courses
The theme for this stage is orienteering in built-up areas but the long course includes sections of medium density forest.
Short course 2.5 km: Mainly orienteering in built-up areas with some route choices. It is perfectly possible to bring a stroller, for example, as the course follows footpaths and cycle paths in the area.
Medium course 3.3 km: Mainly orienteering in built-up areas with various route choices. Take care when crossing roads and around corners and passages with obstructed visibility.
Long course 4.3 km: Orienteering in built-up areas with various route choices as well as hilly forest terrain where visibility may be moderate. Take care when crossing roads and remember to slow down when rounding corners and passing through areas with obstructed visibility.

Please note! Empty land is olive green on the map and is ALWAYS forbidden to enter.
Please note: The maximum allowed time is 2 hours. Competitors who break must report at the finish line, so that the organizers know who is left in the forest. We also remind you that participation in the LTU orienteering is at your own risk and that the organizers disclaim all responsibility for damage that may occur.
