Quick access to full texts on your regional computer
LibKey Nomad is a browser extension that you can install on your regional computer. It gives you direct access to full-text articles available through the region.
LibKey Nomad works in the following browsers: Google Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave, Vivaldi, and Safari. The extension shows links to full-text in, among others:
- PubMed
- On the publishers' webpages
- Wikipedia
How does the extension work?
In PubMed, links to the full text are displayed directly in the results list. You can either go straight to the article or open it in BrowZine. LibKey Nomad also displays journal cover images. On Wikipedia, the LibKey Nomad symbol appears next to references where full-text access is available. When you are on publishers’ websites, LibKey Nomad automatically adds links that lead to the full text of articles.
The extension is only active on selected domains such as publisher websites, PubMed, and Wikipedia, where it identifies articles using DOIs or PMIDs. LibKey Nomad does not store any information about the user, such as login credentials or personal data.
