Journals
As an employee in Region Norrbotten or as a medical student at Sunderby Hospital, you have access to a large number of journals. You can find these in the journal list below.
Access to the journals
If you use Region Norrbotten's network, you will automatically be able to open the articles. If you are outside the network, you have to log in with your Region Norrbotten-account.

The list of journals contains all the journals we offer. You can find all the journals in the list and see which ones are available in your subject area. Keep in mind that if you want to search for articles systematically, you can use our databases.

Here you will find lists of journal abbreviations to make it easier to identify the journals.
BrowZine – an app for academic journals
With BrowZine you can read the library's journals on iPhone, iPad, Android or examine your bookshelf on the web. BrowZine currently has about 15,000 journals and all of Luleå University of Technology's 100 most used journals.
With BrowZine you get:
- The library's journals in a format adapted for a tablet or a mobile phone.
- An easy way to save and export articles. You can also read articles offline.
- A personal bookshelf with your favorite journals.
- Alerts when new issues are available.
- BrowZine synchronizes your bookshelf if you have more than one mobile or tablet connected, or if you want to have the same bookshelf on the web.

Log in to BrowZine or create a user to save journals and articles in your own bookshelf.
Use BrowZine – with the app
- Go to Appstore External link, opens in new window. or Google Play External link, opens in new window., on your tablet or phone.
- Download the BrowZine app. If you need to select a library from a list: select Region Norrbotten.
- Log in with your Region Norrbotten-login if you are asked to do so.
- Then create a personal account in BrowZine. Now you will be able to examine the same bookshelf on your phone, tablet and on the web.
Use BrowZine – on the web
On your Region Norrbotten computer:
- Go to BrowZine via the library's link.
- Create an account by selecting: login – No account? Sign up for one.
On a computer outside the Region Norrbotten network:
- Go to BrowZine via the library's link.
- Log in with your Region Norrbotten-login, if you are asked to do so.
- Create an account by selecting: login – No account? Sign up for one.

Terms of use for e-resources
Various suppliers and publishers provide access to electronic resources for Region Norrbotten. The agreements govern what rights you have as an individual user.
Guidelines for the use of electronic media
- None of the agreements allow commercial use. Copying or downloading is only allowed for private use. Copying also includes digital copying.
- You may distribute single copies of articles to third-party colleagues for research purposes.
- You may incorporate parts of the material in electronic courses, such as a learning platform, by linking to the material. All other copying or downloading requires the author's permission.
- You are obliged to examine the copyright information posted by the providers or publishers connected to the resources.
- You are obliged to indicate the source of printed or copied material.
It is not allowed to:
- Systematically copying or downloading, for example, an entire journal issue or a book, is prohibited.
- Selling or redistributing copyrighted material, for example, by posting it on the Internet or sending it outside your organization, is also prohibited.
- Altering, distorting, or plagiarizing material is not allowed.
