Research within CAMM-CRM

Research in CAMM-CRM is organized into dedicated Research Pillars (RP) – focused areas that bring together expertise across the value chain. Each pillar is led by a coordinator responsible for integrating projects, fostering research synergies, and maintaining a strategic overview.

The current Research Pillars are:

• Graphite – Leader: Mehdi Parian
• Battery Metals – Leader: Edward Lynch
• Critical Raw Materials in Base Metal Systems – Leader: Lina Hällström
• Rare Earth Elements (REEs) – Leader: Lena Sundqvist-Öqvist

These pillars serve as integrating platforms for individual projects and cross-disciplinary collaboration along the entire raw-material value chain – from geological formation and exploration to processing, recycling, and sustainability.
