"Stegra Digital Enterprise – building a large scale industrial facility with digitalization as a design principle from the start"
Daniel Enström, Head of Digital Enterprise, Stegra
February 28, 10:00–10:45 am
"Taking the Next Step in Quantum Technology Innovation"
Johan Felix, Quantum Sweden Innovation Platform
March 28, 10:00–10:45 am
"Standalone FMUs: Built in Python, shared anywhere, no Python required"
A workflow created to generate standalone Functional Mock-up Units (FMUs) from Python code. This enables system integrators across industry to effectively develop models in Python's expansive infrastructure and share models without the need for installation of Python on end-users machine.
Nabaz Rashid, Graduate of Luleå University of Technology
April 25, 10:00–10:45
"Solving a Real-World Optimization Problem with Quantum Computing"
In this presentation, we explore how quantum computing can solve complex logistics problems, focusing on the Tail Assignment problem—an essential optimization problem in the aviation industry. We demonstrate how the Quantum Approximate Optimization Algorithm (QAOA) can be applied to solve this problem, highlighting both the potential and current limitations of quantum computing for solving real-world logistics problems.
Pontus Vikstål, Chalmers Next Lab
May 23, 10:00–10:45
"Data Analysis of the Root Causes of Paper Breakages in Winding Machines"
Description of paper breakage in the paper industry and its key influencing factors.
Summary of data collection and synchronization across multiple databases.
Creation of experimental models for defective paper in mechanical test laboratories.
Vibration modeling and rotordynamic analysis of the winding section.
Comprehensive analysis of a one-week case study dataset.

"The Road to Maintenance 5.0 - Experiences from the Sawmill Industry"
About the seminar: Most industries strive for Industry 4.0 and 5.0, but the path to realization is not entirely easy. In this seminar, we share experiences from an industry with great potential to develop maintenance work and discuss what is required to achieve user-centered, sustainable and resilient maintenance according to Industry 5.0 principles.
About the READY project: The sawmill industry is a contradictory industry regarding technology development. Many process steps today are automated corresponding to I3.0. At the same time, the mindset is still based on mass production, corresponding to I2.0. To increase competitiveness and transform sawmills from Industry 2.0/3.0 to Industry 5.0, a new way of thinking is required. The READY project aims to create a sustainable, robust and resource-efficient sawmill industry through dynamic maintenance that ensures operational reliability, increased process efficiency, resilience and a socially sustainable work environment.
