Research
Within research, the Centre for Arctic and Antarctic at Luleå University of Technology will develop an excellent and innovative academic environment where researchers with a focus on the Arctic and/or Antarctic or who work with research of direct relevance to the Arctic and Antarctic, collaborate.
Researchers and doctoral students at the centre come from Luleå University of Technology, as well as from other universities with research and teaching relevant to the Arctic and Antarctic in Sweden. They can work on projects funded by research councils or other funders. The center also offers contract research for various social actors with a need for knowledge about the Arctic and / or Antarctica. Within the centre, researchers can meet in joint seminars and workshops as well as interact with stakeholders from different sectors of society that are connected to the centre.
