The main purpose of this study is to develop suggestions of appropriate and effective information logistic solutions that enables establishment of a dynamic maintenance program within Trafikverkets area of responsibility that can be adapted to different asset types and quality of service levels throughout the assets whole life cycle. The aim is to develop an information logistic framework for increased effectiveness and efficiency of the dynamic maintenance program process, with regard to the goal levels of service qualities for different asset types throughout their whole life cycle.
The results will be used to establish information logistic solutions that support a dynamic maintenance program and the maintenance process. Hence, the cooperation between roles within the process will be facilitated, independent of organizational belonging, e.g. between Trafikverket and maintenance entrepreneurs. In addition, those within Trafikverket that are responsible for specific technical systems and their prescribed maintenance can work with continuous improvements, through a true dynamic maintenance program. The actors within and connected to the maintenance will also achieve an understanding of the linkage between specific maintenance actions and quality of service. Cooperation between Trafikverket, Riksrevisionen and Näringsdepartementet will be improved.
