Goal

A roadmap containing a proposal for a dynamic framework that describes life extension of railway systems.

Project status and results

Development of the Integrated Life Extension Model and solutions for physical infrastructure within the railway system. The work mainly consists of assessment of the remaining life of infrastructure, potential and opportunities to extend the economic life using new technology, as well as risk assessment for current and future traffic, etc. The work will involve developing RAMS concepts at system level with a view to digitization of operation and maintenance processes.
