Goal

The goal of the project is to improve the resilience of railway infrastructure from adverse future climate conditions by implementing a climate adaptation strategy in design, construction, operation and maintenance.

Project status and results

The project aims to develop a decision support framework based on Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) to adapt railway maintenance to the negative effects of climate change. The result provides a basis for assessing the effectiveness of maintenance and safety measures in view of climate change and recommended maintenance solutions.
