Resizing of Glass and Carbon Fibers After Composite Recycling
Recycling composite materials offers an important route towards more circular and resource-efficient production. However, recovered glass and carbon fibers must be properly treated before they can be successfully reused.
In this lecture, Professor Scheffler will present research on the resizing of recycled glass and carbon fibers and explain how resizing can help restore the fibers’ surface properties, improve their compatibility with new matrix materials and enable their reuse in new composites.
