WISE Welcome Meeting

LTU participated in this year’s WISE Welcome Meeting at the Vildmarkshotellet in Kolmården. Over the course of two days, new WISE members had the opportunity to present their research, learn about current projects, and network with researchers and coordinators from across the program. Through presentations, poster sessions, and group activities, excellent opportunities were created for sharing experiences and fostering future collaborations within WISE.

New Connections Within WISE

The meeting was held at the Vildmarkshotellet in Kolmården and brought together new members from across the WISE program. The purpose was to introduce participants to the program’s activities and foster connections among researchers, doctoral students, and coordinators from the participating universities and organizations. For LTU participants, the meeting provided a valuable opportunity to get to know other members of WISE, learn about ongoing research, and discuss shared research interests.

Presentations and Poster Sessions

The program featured presentations by researchers and coordinators, as well as interactive poster sessions where participants had the chance to present new projects and ideas. The discussions offered fresh perspectives on current research questions and laid a solid foundation for future collaboration within WISE. A group activity at Kolmården Zoo also gave participants the opportunity to continue their conversations in a more informal setting.

The WISE Welcome Meeting served as a well-received introduction to the WISE community and an important starting point for new connections, knowledge exchange, and collaboration. LTU’s participation helps strengthen the university’s role within WISE and contributes to the continued development of Swedish materials science.
