Greenably

Greenably is a platform and collaborative project that supports the transition to a sustainable society by matching sustainability challenges related to residual streams and resource efficiency with innovative solutions, while offering coaching and technology scouting for companies and public actors.

Project Overview

Greenably.se functions as a catalyst for sustainable innovation and business development in Norrbotten by connecting actors facing sustainability challenges with providers of innovative solutions. The platform supports companies and public organisations in their transition towards increased circularity and energy efficiency. Matching takes place via the digital platform as well as through physical and digital meetings where actors exchange knowledge, initiate collaborations, and develop new business opportunities in the region.

Luleå University of Technology contributes to the project with research-based expertise in sustainable business development, circular models, and systems perspectives on innovation processes, thereby strengthening the scientific foundation and long-term development of the platform’s methodology.

Objectives

The objectives of Greenably are to:

facilitate the matching of sustainability challenges related to residual streams with innovative solutions
strengthen small and medium-sized enterprises in accessing new markets and customers
contribute to increased circularity, energy efficiency, and climate-smart solutions
create business opportunities through collaboration and innovation within the sustainability domain

Methodology

The project is structured around three main components:

Matching: Greenably connects companies and organisations facing sustainability challenges, particularly those concerning the handling and utilisation of residual streams, with actors capable of providing relevant solutions. Matching primarily takes place via the digital platform where identified needs are published and addressed, as well as through events where collaboration is initiated.

Coaching: Participating companies receive support in their sustainability efforts through advisory services and expert knowledge, including energy efficiency and the formulation of structured needs descriptions.

Technology scouting: Greenably identifies emerging technologies and solution providers capable of addressing specific sustainability needs through a broad regional, national, and international network. This enables faster access to innovative solutions. LTU contributes particularly with analytical support related to sustainability assessments and business model development.
