What is your research about?
“My research aims to enhance the competitiveness of Swedish industry by leveraging digital technologies for business model innovation. This could mean that companies offer new advanced services, digital solutions, or collaborate with other companies to increase both environmental and economic value. In particular, I focus on examining how they can develop new organisational capabilities and routines, as well as how they can capture value through innovative revenue models.”
Why do you think your research field is interesting?
“We are living in a unique moment where businesses face overlapping and transformative challenges. Companies must navigate both digital transformation and sustainable transformation, often referred to as the twin transition. This creates a complex and uncertain environment. As researchers, we work side by side with industry, developing methods, tools, and frameworks that help organisations adapt, innovate, and remain competitive in this rapidly changing landscape.”
What is your dream as a researcher?
“My dream as a researcher is to contribute to shaping a more sustainable and innovative industrial future—one where companies thrive economically while also taking responsibility for the planet. I aspire to build bridges between academia and industry so that our research is not only published in journals but also applied in practice, creating real impact. Ultimately, I want to inspire the next generation of researchers and entrepreneurs to see challenges as opportunities and to use research as a force for positive transformation in society.”
