Stimulus grants to strengthen PRECISE
Now there is the opportunity to apply for a stimulus grant to strengthen research in precision health at Luleå University of Technology. The grant will facilitate preparatory project construction and research applications in precision health within the research areas Precise Digital Health Care/Precisionsinriktad Digital Hälso-och sjukvård or Healthy Spaces/Hälsosamma livsmiljöer
In this call, 10-13 grants of maximum SEK 100 thousand are distributed. The funds will be used
during 2025-26 and lay a foundation for long-term development of research within PRECISE. Grants
are only granted to permanent employees at LTU. You can only be the main applicant on one
application, but participate as a co-applicant on other applications.
The application – maximum two pages – must contain the following:
- Title of the application
- Main applicant's name, title, subject and contact information
- Who/which people collaborate at LTU (name, title, research subject affiliation) and
collaboration with external partners (name, title, affiliation). Approval of a research
application presupposes collaboration between at least two research subjects, and
collaboration between subjects affiliated with both the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty
of Engineering is desirable. Furthermore, collaboration with external partners such as regions,
municipalities, companies, authorities, or other organizations is required to ensure the project's
relevance and impact. - What is to be achieved with the funds and justify the importance for precision health at LTU
from a long-term perspective and how the project will improve health outcomes. - How does the application contribute to the positioning of your research area in relation to
precision health? - What the funds will be used for and a budget for this. The budget must be prepared in
consultation with the economist. - For approved applications, a brief written report is required
The applications are assessed by the scientific leaders of PRECISE based on the following criteria:
Relevance to precision health and societal benefit, Originality/innovation, Feasibility, Applicants'
competence and the interdisciplinarity of the project. Then a weigh-up is made of which projects are
finally prioritized to build a strong profile for precision health at LTU. Decisions cannot be appealed.
For projects that are not approved, no motivation is provided. Awarded funds cannot be used for the
acquisition of equipment.
