Implementing digital health and the challenges and opportunities for small and medium-sized innovative companies in northern Sweden

The webinar will present the ongoing research projects INNOVAID (Norrlandsnavet) and INNOVAID GO (PRECISE). Both projects aim to support small and medium-sized companies working in digital health in northern Sweden. These include medical technology companies developing new technologies as well as healthcare providers offering digital healthcare services. The main focus will be on procurement and reimbursement models, including the opportunities and challenges they present.

The presentation will be given by Ulrik Röijezon, Professor at HLT, and Jeaneth Johansson, Professor at ETKS.

An active everyday life and how we can promote health and prevent frailty among older people

Welcome to an inspiring event where we will present findings from a unique research project conducted together with older people in Norrbotten.

The project explored how everyday activities, mobility and living environments interact to affect the health and wellbeing of older people. By examining a wide range of factors and using several new measurement tools, we have gained new insights into what supports an active everyday life.

During the event, we will share our most important findings and reflect together on how this knowledge can be put into practice to improve health, prevent frailty and create the conditions for active ageing.

We would also like to discuss how the findings can benefit services, organisations and community planning.

Target audience

This invitation is aimed at anyone working with issues related to the health, activity, mobility and living environments of older people. This may include professionals in healthcare, social care, public health, research, community planning and decision-making organisations.

You are warmly invited to learn more about the research and contribute to the discussion about how we can support active ageing in the future.

The presenters work in Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy at Luleå University of Technology. They are Professor Maria Larsson Lund, Senior Professor Lars Nyberg, doctoral student Sophie Vestin Sohlman, Senior Lecturer Ellinor Larsson, Senior Lecturer Viktor Strandkvist, Associate Professor Agneta Larsson and Senior Lecturer Irene Vikman.

The project is funded by PRECISE, the Kamprad Family Foundation for Entrepreneurship, Research and Charity, and the Graduate School in Close Care.
