Organising accountability in refugee introduction programs: comparing Colchester, Luleå and Verona
With an increasingly harsh jargon surrounding refugees around Europe and increasing signs of integration failure, this project focuses on organizing accountability in the introduction programs of refugees in three non-metropolitan European cities.
The project's descriptive aim is to map the formal and informal ways in which local officials and migrants hold each other and others accountable in a dysfunctional introduction program.
The project's more normative aim is to identify organizational conditions that can allow a more 'intelligent' accountability to develop within the scope of the introduction program.
The project runs between 2024 and 2027. Participating researchers are Amanda Curry and Johan Sandström.
