Advancing Sustainable Building Research​

This project spearheads a collaborative effort between the Neapolis University Pafos (NUP) and the Luleå University of Technology (LTU) to advance sustainable building research. ​

The research aims to investigate the potential of urban horizontal surfaces to enhance sustainability in both northern and southern regions. This includes the use of data loggers for simulation calibration and ENVI-Met modelling to explore the impact of pedestrianization, tree planting, material usage, and green roofs. ​

Additionally, the study will focus on the effects of Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPVs) on the microclimate and energy production in both high-rise and low-rise buildings in varying urban environments, from North to South.​
