Assessing and analyzing innovation needs and innovation strategies: Stage 2
Public clients play a crucial role in driving innovation and sustainable development. Building on the findings from Stage 1, this project investigates how innovation strategies can be designed and implemented to address identified innovation needs.
Through case studies, interviews, and workshops, the research examines how procurement strategies, collaboration models, and market development initiatives influence innovation outcomes in infrastructure projects. Particular attention is given to how public clients can create stronger incentives and opportunities for suppliers to innovate.
The project aims to develop practical decision-support tools and working methods that help organizations identify innovation needs and select suitable innovation strategies. The results are expected to strengthen innovation capability within Trafikverket and other public client organizations.
