Smart Sustainable Villages

Smart sustainable villages is a preliminary study for a later implementation project.

The project aims to support the development of smart, attractive, viable and sustainable rural areas through collaboration between people, local communities and digital technologies. By strengthening conditions for rural development, the project contributes to long-term social sustainability.

Populated, active and growing rural areas play a vital role in societal development. To fulfil this role, rural areas need access to the same opportunities for development as more densely populated regions.
