Rut's travel grant for female doctoral students and/or female senior researchers in Mining and Rock Engineering at Luleå University of Technology

The announcement of the Rut Travel Grant in memory of Rut Brand, the Rut and Sten Brand Foundation for the Promotion of Mining Technology, is primarily aimed at female students and doctoral students, as well as younger female researchers (with at least a doctoral degree) in mining and rock engineering at Luleå University of Technology.

Project managers at LTU who have invited a female doctoral student and/or female senior researcher in mining and rock engineering can also apply for a travel grant if the project does not cover the costs.

The application must clearly state the motivation, purpose, and objectives of the visit, a brief description of the visit, and the project budget.

The Rut and Sten Brand application form must be used for the application, and a CV must be attached.

One month after the project has been completed, a short report must be sent to instregsbn@ltu.se. The report must include a financial summary and be marked with reference number: LTU-6237-2025.

The total scholarship amount is a maximum of SEK 100,000.

Each individual application can be awarded a maximum amount of SEK 50,000.

The deadline for applications is April 30, 2026.
