REEDEAM IGS Industrial Research School
EEDEAM IGS is a new industrial research school focused on climate-neutral production, electrification, digitalisation, and automation. Through collaboration between Mälardalen University, Luleå University of Technology, and Örebro University, as well as several industry partners, the research school aims to train the experts of the future and contribute to new knowledge that will future-proof Swedish industry. A total of 79 million kronor is being invested in the initiative.
The Graduate School aims to help bridge the knowledge gap between academia and industry by training the next generation of industrial researchers and specialists.
The graduate school builds on the existing REEDEAM Competence Development (REEDEAM CDP) project. With REEDEAM IGS, the collaboration is further developed with a focus on graduate education and long-term knowledge building.
REEDEAM IGS is a collaboration between MDU, Örebro University, and Luleå University of Technology. The program is conducted in partnership with ten companies and other organizations, including Epiroc, LKAB Minerals, Bosch Rexroth, Kanthal, and RISE.
REEDEAM IGS focuses on three broad technology areas:
- Carbon-free metallurgy and resilient energy systems
- AI and automation in the green transition
- Efficient and effective circular industry
