EWG-IE & EWG-OOE 2027

The 2027 joint meeting of the European Working Group on Internal Erosion (EWG-IE) and the European Working Group on Overflow and Overtopping Erosion (EWG-OOE) will take place in Luleå, Sweden, from 27 September to 1 October 2027.

EWG-IE and EWG-OOE bring together researchers, dam owners, consultants, authorities and other professionals working with the safety and performance of embankment dams. The meeting provides an international forum for presenting and discussing recent research, field observations and practical experience.

The EWG meetings place particular emphasis on discussion and knowledge exchange. The programme will therefore include fewer but longer presentations, allowing more time for questions and in-depth discussion. Each conference day will begin with an invited keynote lecture. The programme will also include technical sessions, poster presentations and joint discussions.
