Cooperation within the European Co-UDLabs projects NBS-RECON and Stormwater Management Standard Development
Two new transnational projects within the Co-UDLabs framework provide opportunities for enhanced international research collaboration in the field of stormwater.
NBS pRECision cONdition Assessment (NBS-RECON)
In collaboration with the University of Belgrade, urban water researchers from Luleå University of Technology will test the relationship between plant parameters and the water management performance of urban nature-based solutions (NBS). Through the EU project Co-UDLabs, the project partners will have access to fully monitored NBS research infrastructure at INSA Lyon in France. Also participating in the project are NTNU in Norway and the company BitGear.
Standard development for stormwater management in Sweden
The transnational research project "Standard development for stormwater management in Sweden" has been launched to address the issue of standardized tests to compare prefabricated stormwater treatment plants. In the project, RISE - Research Institutes of Sweden, Luleå University of Technology and the company UPONOR, manufacturer of stormwater drainage systems, among others, have access to IKT's test and research facility for decentralized stormwater treatment systems in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, where corresponding tests are carried out that will form the basis for the development of a recommendation for a test standard.
