New projects in collaboration for sustainable water for all
Within the Water Wise Society's call "Collaboration for sustainable water for all", 20 projects have been granted, with the aim to contribute to the transition to a more sustainable management of water and water systems. The projects will be carried out in spring 2025.
Stormwater&Sewers is leading several of these projects. "µpstream: minimizing the occurrence of micropollutants dispersed by stormwater streams" investigates how sources of pollutants transported by stormwater from our cities can be reduced to create conditions for an unpolluted stormwater that can, for example, be reused as an alternative water source. Another important project is "Urban stormwater: from risk to resource" which aims to help ensure water resilient communities, access to water and wise use of water by utilizing urban stormwater as a resource. The project "Decentralized water and wastewater systems" focuses on resource efficiency of water use and nutrient recovery, as well as society's preparedness, linked to decentralized water and wastewater systems.
In addition, Stormwater&Sewers, through RISE, participates in additional projects in the areas of climate adaptation, efficient water use, circular sewer systems, industrial water and water in regional planning.
