Experiences of LPS systems - A knowledge compilation (2021-2022)
LPS (low pressure sewers) systems are often advocated as an alternative to conventional gravity pipes. The purpose of this project is to compile knowledge and experience from planning, operation and management of LPS systems in Sweden, which will form a decision guidance for municipal water operators.
The project is now finalised and the final report is published, see below.
The project leader is RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, with Solveig Johannesdottir as project manager. The project runs from January to December 2021 and is funded by Svenskt Vatten Utveckling.
Project partners are RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, Luleå University of Technology, Luleå Municipality, Uppsala Water & Waste, Kungsbacka Municipality, Nacka Water & Waste, Karlskrona Municipality, Höganäs Municipality, Roslagsvatten, MittSverige Vatten & Avfall, Falu Energy & Water.
