Impact of the material in stormwater pipelines on the stormwater quality, 2023

In this project, we will compile a report based on a literature study describing the state of research regarding the impact of pipeline materials on stormwater quality.

The literature study is complemented by laboratory experiments where we investigated how the chemistry of different types of stormwater (from rain, snowmelt and copper roofs) is affected by the material of the stormwater pipe (plastic, concrete, relined pipes, corrugated steel, etc.).

The project is funded by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and has a budget of 200 000 SEK.
