Smart maintenance and sampling in stormwater systems

This development journey aims to map responsibilities and regulatory frameworks, and to develop legal frameworks and practically applicable guidelines for circular sediment management. The need is based on the uncertainty many municipalities highlight regarding the allocation of responsibilities, regulations and incentives, which points to a need for clearer analysis and further development of governance models for long-term maintenance. The development journey is driven primarily through a Policy Lab, informed by in-depth mapping of current responsibility allocation, regulations and practices related to sediment management, in order to create an overall picture of existing routines, the application of regulations and the roles of different actors.
