Safer circulation of nutrient-rich sewage sludge
Through the RE:SOURCE program funded by the Swedish Energy Agency, Vinnova and FORMAS, LTU's research groups for Waste Technology and Water Technology have been funded the project.
In this feasibility study, sources of PFAS are studied by sampling in a municipal wastewater network. A SWOT analysis will also be carried out that can provide guidance on tailored treatment systems to reduce PFAS, depending on the sources and types of PFAS occurring in municipal wastewater.
The project is led by Jurate Kumpiene. Participating from Urban Water Engineering is Annelie Hedström.
