Sustainable packaging materials from renewable raw materials sources
The main objective of this study is to evaluate the cacao by-product as a resource for the development of sustainable packaging material. Using a by-product from chocolate production could economically benefit the chocolate industry and the environment.
The project is carried out as a collaboration between LTU (Prof. Kristiina Oksman, Senior Lecturer Linn Berglund, and Dr. Luísa Völtz), UmU (Dr. Sandra Winestrand, and Prof. Leif Jönsson) and Nordic Chocolate (Jenny Berg).
