Carbon nanomaterials, VR, 2024-2027
Experimental and theoretical evaluation of carbon nanomaterials with
hierarchical pore structure and large surface area for use as sustainable electrodes.
This project combines advanced experimental techniques and modeling to develop hierarchical porous carbon nanomaterials with high surface area from low-cost, bio-based precursors. Lignin and cellulose nanofibers are processed via electrospinning and ice-templating, then lyophilized and carbonized into carbon nanofiber mats and aerogels.
This project is funded by Swedish Research Council (VR).
