We warmly invite you to a match-making seminar for new seed projects at SUN. Come and share your visions and ideas for new groundbreaking projects and foster collaboration between scientists from different departments and faculties at LTU.
When: 18th of February 2026, 09.00 – 11.30

During the seminar, we will:
- Introduce SUN and its mission.
- Explain the process for applying for seed project funding.
- Provide time for networking, exchanging ideas, and presenting your project proposals.
About SUN
SUN – Natural Resources for Sustainability Transitions at LTU – focuses on Sweden’s key natural assets, such as ore, forests, and water, which are central to achieving the societal transformation required to meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Seed Project Funding
SUN is now announcing a call for funding for “Seed” projects. The goals of this call are to support projects that:
- Align with the aims and vision of the SUN research areas.
- Are multidisciplinary.
- Lay the foundation for new or improved research activities with significant potential for external funding.
Applications are welcome from both technical and philosophical faculties, for projects addressing the vision of a natural resource-dependent sustainability transition.

Project Details:
- Duration: Approximately 6–10 months
- Maximum budget: SEK 250,000
