“Digital Electric Mines” (DEM)

This seed project aims to explore the conditions necessary for successfully introducing Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and digital solutions in the Swedish mining industry through a multidisciplinary workshop involving key stakeholders from mining companies and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). The workshop will identify and investigate challenges related to the interaction between technology, people, and organizations to facilitate the sustainable transition of mining operations. By combining expertise from Work Science and Mining Engineering at LTU, the project addresses technology acceptance and implementation issues, laying the groundwork for a scaled-up research project proposal. Expected outcomes include an inventory of identified challenges and an application for comprehensive research addressing these challenges.
