I am a PhD scholar working in the area of steel recycling and anti-alloying for the development of a more sustainable and resource-efficient steel industry. With over 16 years of industrial experience in ferrous metallurgy, I specialize in the product development of high-strength steels, with a strong focus on composition design, process optimization, and microstructure–property relationships for demanding engineering applications. My professional experience spans steel solutions for shipbuilding, oil and gas, yellow goods, boilers and pressure vessels, and the automotive sector. I hold a Master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, and my current research integrates industrial practice with advanced scientific understanding of residual element control, scrap-based steelmaking, and metallurgical pathways for circularity in the steel industry. Outside my professional work, I enjoy travelling and exploring new places.
