About me
As the rate of urbanisation increases all over the world coupled with climate change and extreme events, it is imminent that the design and management of stormwater facilities be conditioned by these changes.
Emmanuel's research focuses on investigating methods to understand the dynamics of stormwater processes in urban areas using modeling and data-driven approaches. With a focus on urban water quantity, his research seeks to advance the understanding of process interaction such as runoff, infiltration, and evaporation, through the integration of sensor data and models in a bid to enhance understanding of the urban water cycle.
Emmanuel started his PhD research in the urban water engineering group in March 2024. During his master's studies, he explored the influence of sewer network structure on the occurrence of combined sewer overflow events (CSOs) using graph theory. This research was conducted on a small sewer network in Dresden, Germany, at the Technical University of Dresden.
