About my research
As a doctoral researcher in process metallurgy, I investigate the fundamental interactions between biochar and slag to enable the effective use of biochar in electric arc furnace (EAF) slag foaming applications. My research further explores how slag composition in EAFs—especially those utilizing Swedish iron ore-derived DRI—affects slag–biochar interactions. This work forms part of the FINAST initiative, supporting the green transition and advancing the move towards a CO₂-neutral steel industry.
