I am an art historian and curator interested in contemporary art practices that take shape outside institutional settings, in particular those produced at the intersection of art, architecture, and activism.
My doctoral thesis, defended at Uppsala University in 2025, examines how three rural artist-run organisations in Sweden mobilise vulnerability to generate artistic, curatorial, and pedagogical practices that resonate with their local communities, the Swedish mainstream art world, and institutional funders.
As of May 2026, I am a postdoctoral researcher in the project Sami Spatial Agency: Advancing Sámi Spatial Planning through Participatory Design led by visiting professor Runa Johannessen together with professor Agatino Rizzo and conducted in collaboration with the Sami nomadic art institution Verdde.
