Rasha Abd El Aziz (PhD, MBA, BSc, SFHEA) is a Professor of Information Systems & Digital Business. She is the Head of the Business Information Systems Department at the College of Management and Technology, Arab Academy for Science and Technology, Alexandria, Egypt for over 10 years. She earned her PhD (2009) from the University of the West of England, Bristol, UK. She holds the Senior Fellow certificate (2024) from Advance HE, UK, and SAP Certified Business Associate. Her teaching expertise spans both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Prof. Rasha is an active member of the Permanent Scientific Committee for Professors Promotion at AASTMT. She has an extensive publication record, including over 100 publications, a monograph, a book chapter, academic journal articles, and conference papers. She has successfully supervised over 35 theses, comprising over 20 PhD/DBA theses in the UK, Spain, and Egypt, and 14 Master's theses. Additionally, she is an external and internal examiner for PhD/Master's theses at various public and private universities.
She is the Principal Investigator for several internationally funded projects by the British Council, in collaboration with UK universities such as Brunel University of London, Coventry University, and Northumbria University, with a focus on digital inclusion, quality of education, and gender equality. Prof. Rasha also engages in social responsibility work through teaching, research, and capacity-building activities. She serves on the editorial board of IJEF - Inderscience, IBIMA, and ABRM and reviews for numerous international conferences and peer-reviewed journals, including ICIS, iJET, ECIS, ELEC, ECRA, TQM, EBIS, IJEB, among others, with well-known publishers such as Emerald, Elsevier, Taylor and Francis, AIS, and Springer.
