Sanmugavel Sundaramahalingam

About me

I am currently working as a postdoctoral researcher under the supervision of Prof. Wangzhong Mu at the Division of Materials Science, Department of Engineering and Mathematics, Luleå University of Technology, Sweden.

My academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from The American College, Madurai, where I studied between 2009 and 2012. I then continued with a Master’s degree from the same institution during the years 2012–2014. In March 2015, I was given the opportunity to participate in a large-scale research and development project funded by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India, at Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering, Chennai. In 2016, I started my PhD studies at Anna University, Chennai, and after completing my PhD, I conducted my first postdoctoral research at the Computational Materials Engineering Group at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), where I was active until January 2025.
