Sharun Hegde

I am a PhD student in the area of Sustainablity of Steels. My passion for materials science stems from my high school days. To further pursue my interests I completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master's degree in Automobile Enginnering with a project focused on Composite Materials.

I have also been an environmentalist and have adopted a sutainable lifestyle. During my middle school days, I had been part of Children's Movement for Civic Awareness (CMCA) wherein we talked and worked on issues such as waste management, tree plantation drives and local clean-ups. Even while doing my Bachelor's degree the final year project I had worked on a prototype to use a combination of two renewable sources of energy namely Solar and Wind to generate electricity.
